Lauren “Brooke” Burleson LCMHCA is an experienced clinician with a background working in the mental health and substance use industry as a mental health clinician licensed in the state of North Carolina. She graduated from Peace College with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Ms. Burleson then achieved her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at North Carolina Central University. Brooke’s most recent experience as a clinician involved providing therapy in a group setting to individuals with substance use and mental health diagnoses. Ms. Burleson also has experience in inpatient setting, where she assessed and helped to ensure the safety of clients in crisis. She has experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
Ms. Burleson’s empathetic and warm nature allows for an inviting and safe space for clients to unpack the weight of an emotionally difficult situation. With an understanding, compassionate, and pragmatic approach, she helps clients work through the tough realities of life. Ms. Burleson believes in her clients and works with them to uncover their own strengths and skills, allowing them to gain clarity and achieve their goals.
