Jerin Mathew is a rising sophomore at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, majoring in Biology and Psychology. He is passionate about psychiatry, behavioral health, and the research that drives both fields.
Jerin previously interned at the Levin Lab at Duke University, where he contributed to behavioral neuroscience research—an experience that sparked his deep interest in the connection between biology and behavior.
Since then, he has worked as a patient care assistant, volunteered in various hospital settings, and helped lead Sunshine in My Bag, a student-run initiative that provides care packages to women undergoing chemotherapy.
