Travis Senor is a board-certified physician assistant with prior experience in family medicine.
Travis received a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2005, followed by a Master of Science in Applied Intelligence Studies from Mercyhurst College in Erie, PA in 2009. After working as an intelligence analyst in Washington, D.C, followed by a sojourn in Antarctica, he returned to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as a non-traditional student, where he received his Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies in 2023.
Travis has always had a strong interest in mental health, and his previous experience as a family medicine practitioner underscored the fundamental importance of psychological health to overall well-being. Travis aims to foster a supportive environment, free of stigma or judgement, where patients can be open about their concerns. And by means of a collaborative, holistic approach, he is driven to help his patients on their journey to better psychological health. He ultimately believes in patient-provider relationships founded on trust and respect, and guided by the principles of inclusivity, patient autonomy, and dignity. His specific clinical interest and expertise is in managing anxiety, depression, and ADHD, predominantly in older adolescent and adult populations.
When not working, Travis enjoys rock and ice climbing, mountaineering, ice hockey, Carolina basketball, reading, travel (he’s been to all seven continents), volunteering with community environmental and animal rescue groups, exploring all of the natural, culinary, and artistic treasures North Carolina has to offer, and spending time with his fiancé and their two fluffy cats.
