Cara Holmes is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with over 14 years of experience supporting adults through both community-based services and private practice. Originally from Michigan, Cara relocated to North Carolina in 2023 to continue her work in the mental health field.
Cara holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Michigan State University and earned her Master of Arts in Counseling, with honors, from Central Michigan University. Her passion for learning and holistic care has led her to pursue a second master’s degree in Physiology at NC State University, further deepening her understanding of the mind-body connection in mental health.
She is currently working toward certification in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and biofeedback, with a continued commitment to evidence-based, integrative approaches to healing.
Cara lives in Raleigh with her energetic 3-year-old dog, Luna. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, experimenting with new recipes, and getting lost in a good book.
