In her role as Clinical Director of Psychiatry at Duke Regional Hospital, she fostered a team-oriented environment with psychiatrists, clinicians, and support staff, ensuring every patient received exceptional comprehensive care and follow-up.

Recognized for advancing the field of psychiatry, she was honored with the 2011 Friends of Nursing Award for Excellence by the Duke Regional Hospital physician group.
