Melissa is a board-certified physician assistant with over six years of clinical experience delivering high-quality, individualized patient care. From a young age, Melissa knew her calling was to support others in building meaningful, healthy lives. She enrolled directly from high school into the Physician Assistant program at DeSales University, completing her bachelor’s degree in just three years while earning a minor in philosophy and working as a certified nursing assistant. Studying a rigorous pre-med curriculum alongside the humanities profoundly shaped her clinical perspective and continues to inform her holistic, patient-centered approach to care.

After graduating from her Physician Assistant program in 2019, Melissa began her career in pediatric primary care. In this role, she had the privilege of partnering with families to support both the physical and emotional well-being of children, grounded in respect, empathy, and cultural competence. Her experience fostering childhood resilience and supporting young families has strongly influenced her thoughtful, compassionate approach to psychiatric care. Melissa is looking forward to supporting patients on their mental health journeys.

Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with family, cooking, Pilates, hot yoga, and hiking with her Irish Doodle, Bruce. She recently relocated from New England to North Carolina with her fiancé.
